  1. I have successfully burned MPEG files to a CD (usiing EZ CD 5.0 and Iomega 650 burner). They will play on my computer, but they will not play on my DVD player (Panasonic A110 says it is VCD compatible). I'm looking at a lot of other messages here and a lot of people seem to have the same problem. Are there any good solutions? Is it the CD-R's themselves? Colors, layers, etc? Things I know nothing about. Any suggestions out there?

  3. The problem is your DVD player! It will not read CDR/CD-RWs. I owned a Panasonic A100 and that wouldn't play them either, it even said in the manual NOT to attempt to play them as it my cause damage! Just because a player is VCD compatible it does NOT mean it will play CDR/RWs. In fact I think that ALL DVD players play commercial VCDs it's part of the DVD standard.

  4. OK. I guess I do not know. Using CD Creator, I burned an mpeg which has an .dat extension on the CD. Is that data or VCD format? If it is not VCD, how do I get it into VCD format before I burn it?
