I have made about 20 vcd's and have had no problems, except with certain movies. once I have ripped them and played them back, they play back with directors & actors compentary or with the spanish or french languages. The movies i have had these problems with so far are Idle Hands, Not Another Teen Movie, and Shallow Hal. I have tried Smartripper and DVD Decrypter. Can Anyone help me with this problem?

Play back from VOB? or after processed to VCD? In either case, after smartripper look into vts_01_INFO.txt,
***************
* Stream Info *
***************
Stream[001] X=[[0xE0] Video NTSC 720x480] [] [] [] []
Stream[002] X=[[0x80] Audio Not Specified AC3(2Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []
Stream[003] X=[[0x??] Others] [] [] [] []
if playback from VOB, it'll automatically take sound from 0x80 which is track number 1. In your case, they happen to put it on track 2 or after.
But if your intention is to make (s)VCD, don't worry.. the next step after rip is, you'll have to select the audio track, make sure you select the track you want, that's all.
