    why is this.i cant figure it out im using huffy codec and the captures are jumpy as hell like theyve been caped at 4 frames a secod or something

    try seeing what services are running, try stopping any you don't need...

    Is your capture app actually reporting dropped frames??

    A HuffyUV encoded AVI will NOT playback smoothly on most computers. It will however, look just fine once you've converted it to MPEG.
