I have scoured this and other forums looking for a solution for converting low fps divx videos to vcd (not quality, but just getting it to the point where I can throw it on my dvd player an watch it on tv vs. my computer). I had looked through the guides about audio sync issues, etc., trying (in my opinion) all of them. Of course, I did them all perfectlybut they never cured the problem.
Being at my wits end, I did a "what the hell" and copied my divx video to my harddrive, threw a blank CD into the burner, opened Nero and let it convert my 11fps divx with the vcd template. The file size of this cam movie was 112'ish meg, 11 fps, and something like 24000 audio.
The resulting vcd played in my dvd player with perfect sync at 29.976(NTSC). I have since then converted 3 other movies over from divx to VCD and they ALL play perfectly. When I say perfect, I am talking about it plays and its 29.976. The picture quality didnt improve magically or whatever. I was looking to get a synced video in vcd format.
This may be a 3rd tuesday during a full moon situation, but I at least wanted to share a success story and a possible solution that seems to be plagueing the low end divx conversion guys.
