how do i copy a svcd

hi there please help
i have a cd with with a svcd movie on in mpeg2 format movie plays fine
but i cant copy it ive tried nero but nero wont work when i try to drag and drop its says it cant read the the cd files
ive tried to copy the cd to hard drive it wont copy
any help would be great

Why are you trying to drag and drop anything anywhere, just use the copy disc function.

I would have thought a straight copy disk to disk would have worked, unless the original is scratched or corrupted. Does the movie play all the way through without any sudden loud screeching noises or short bright flashes of colour (this would indicate corruption). Try reading the disk on your writer to an image file, and then writing from that. Check nero help on how to do this, or try another writer program, e.g. blindwrite or discjuggler. Cheers for now.

OK TRY A IMAGE FILE WITH NERO 4 X BURN SPEED BURN WAS OK BUT WHEN I TRY TO WATCH THE MOVIE IT COME UP AS A ERRO ON DISK COULD NOT BE READ BUT WHEN I OPEN THE DISK UP ALL FOLDER ARE THERE AND THE SIZES ARE THE SAME AS THE ORIGNAL DISK

CloneCD will copy protection as well.....

Also make sure your disk is clean, a good wash with dishwashing detergent and water.

I have had problems of late with NERO which have created almost a full set of drink coasters !.

Bluey:
Did you try copying the MPEG file back to your hard drive and reburning? Look in the MPEG folder on the CD, copy the file to your drive. Open Nero, set up for an SVCD burn and go.

I tried to copy an SVCD last night and it did not work, didn't have time to test this strategy but I'm trying it tonight.

Here are two ways to do it if all else fails, use iso buster and extract the cd to hard drive then open nero do a standard compilation and drag and drop all folders that had to be extracted back on a cd. Second way, use CDRWIN and convert the cd to Bin/Cue and burn CDRWIN or any other program u desire.
