hi to all
with tmpgenc-2.56.39.143-free i was able to load mpeg2 720X576 files
and convert them fine as VCDs or SVCDs.
now with version 2_57_41_146-Plus and 2_57_41_146-free i get the message:
file cannot open or unsupported.
on my p4 1,7ghz system running windowsXP I HAVE ELECARD MPEG2 ENCODER installed, plus LIGOS LSX-MPEG ENCODER 3,5, PLUS CYBERLINKS POWERDVD V4,0XP
PLUS POWERVCR 3.0pro, PLUS MANY OTHER CODECS ,all working fine together.
the only reason that elecard encoder is installed is (as many of you know)
for loading MPEG2 files into TMPGENC.
but now with TMPGEnc`s new version this does not seem to help anymore.
please someone tell me what codec do i need or what else i can do for solving
that problem.
thanks a lot in advance.

Very simple solution:
Pay $50 and register TMPGEnc.As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
Dr Wafer, don't tell me that you have any relation with UGP forum....

@Mirror_Image
well... i believed that tmpgenc even unter 14 days evaluation period
was a full functional program and there was no difference
between registered and unregistered version.
if this is tha case registering the programm will not solve the problem.
thanks kingJohn
I will try by removing some codecs.
unfortunatelly the 2_57_41_146free version doesnt work,only version 2.56.39.143-free works,thats why i ask for a solution. -
finally
the problem was fixed by installing the nimo codec pack(whatever
related to mpeg2 only) and unistalling the elecard mpeg2 codec.
