    When playing the orig avi and mpeg the video and audio are fine on computer, but when using Nero or vcd easy to make an xvcd for the home dvd player, the audio and video get out of synch any suggestions?

    Does your DVD player have a brand and model number, or is it totally generic?

    why the link? I had already read that. Everyone says the player is good and if the audio video is off, it's the encoding software or set up. that's where I need help.

    p.s. I even tried extacting the audio to wav with virtual dub, then followed the guide on making an xvd (tmpgenc), but still the audio and video go in and out of synch.
