A keyframe is a marked point at which point an event will take place.

The seconds part of the statement refers to the timing of the keyframe.

This is genrally used in Flash compositions and in more advanced video editing in Premiere when you what to overlay roll on roll off graphics over the top of a video clip. You have to set the Keyframe for the start (normally automatic obviously), at which point you want it to start rotating, one keyframe, when you want it to stop, second keyframe, and how long you want it to rotate for.

Does this help - difficult to put into words.
