i have Divx 5.0.2 and windows media player 7.01. I wanted to convert the The Fast and the Furious, of which i have a DVD rip (divx avi.) when i watched it on the divx player, i watched it on wide aspect (16:9). when i converted it with TMPGEnc, i wanted the VCD i was going to create to be in the same format. So, I put the aspect at 16:9 525 line (NTSC). when i encoded it though, the divx full screen at the wide aspect wasn't the same as the full screen on the mpg. I noticed that the black part at the bottom and top of the screen where nothing is shown like a real wide screen movie got smaller in the mpeg. i used the same ratio, though. How do i fix this? The volume of the audio went lower, too. I have to keep my volume on my speakers higher to listen to the same movie. I thought something was wrong to my speakers and so, I checked it by playing the movie on the same volume but using the mpg and the divx avi. I had to use the speakers at a louder volume when listening on Windows Media Player than with Divx player. The difference is wuite a lot. You can't hear anything on the mpg at the same volume that you can hear perfectly on the Dixv (avi.)
