  1. hi, i have been burning/making vcds for some time, but i have noticed recently that when i try to burn some mpgs to vcd, nero will tell me that it is not proper encoding for vcd, although it plays fine on my pc... i usually just click 'ok' and let nero do its (timely) re-encode. then the vcd will burn and when i try to watch it on my standalone dvdplayer (or pc dvdplayer) the audio is out of synch... and it gets worse as the movie goes on. any ideas? ive tried the mpg->mpg conversion in vcdgear, but to no avail. im totally stumped on this one. any help would be appriciated.

    thanks,
    catch

btw- using WinME (i know, i know... its my uncles pc), 1.1ghz, 256mb, 20gb HD, 12xburner .. also using nero v5.5.8.2

  2. Although I can not answer your question I am having the same problem. I am using XP Pro. Each time I go to burn I get the message turn off compliance or let Nero re-encode.
