Problems with TMPGE (cutting-source range)

Ok I have this .asf file, and when I go into the source range to cut it, it won't let me move the marker to set the end mark. When I move try to move it, TMPG freezes up and I have to restart it.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

go to options -> enviroment settings -> VFAPI -> move direct show to +1 and avi vfw to +1 (right click on what you want moved and "higher priority) ..also in your task manager if running win2k - make sure all cases of media player are closed (sometimes media player doesnt shut down proper which causes all sorts of problems)
