Hi,
I have ripped approximately 6 to 8 DVDs using Smartripper. They all took about 40 minutes or thereabout. Today I ripped Monster's Ball and it took about 7 minutes. The speed was about 7 to 10X rather than the 1 to 2X I normally get. Why is this?
I noticed it said it was unencrypted - would that account for the difference?
Thanks,
Deb

Yes, I noticed that also, smartripper isn't having to unencrept anything just a direct copy.

That makes sense, MaDmiZe. I wish more were like that , every step takes so long!

You said it.
I'd love to let smartripper take twice as long if that would reduce the encode time by a factor of 2 : )
