I have been trying the whole day yesterday to capture some videocassettes of mine using the Video-In of my Graphic Card (Asus V7700) using both the Asus software (Digital VCR) and Virtual Dub 1.4.10.
The problem is that when I play the recorded material (since then everything works fine) I've got a wide, horizontal white stripe in the middle of the video. It's more than a third of the whole surface.
I tried different settings, I played a little with the cable (I use a S-VHS to SCART cable) in the case it would not sit well, but nothing helped.
I have the nVidia WDM 1.11 driver installed.
I also made a try with Adobe Premiere 6 to capture, but the only difference is that with this software you can see the awful white stripe also during the preview and the recording phase.
I would appreciate any help!
Bye,
Jones
