MMC7.5
AIW 7500
latest capture drivers from ATI site
P4 1.8
512MB PC2100 RAM
80Gig 7200rpm HD w/DMA enabled
Using MMC7.5 to capture from VHS, I can capture MPG1 @ 720x576, 7.20Mbit/Sec without dropping a frame, but if i try to use Huffyuv to capture AVI I get on average 15 dropped frames per 30 minutes of video. Capturing at 352x576 will also drop about 3 frames per 30min of video using Huffyuv.
My CPU never goes over 52% load though (at 720x576) or 25% at 352x476.
I have tried iuVCR, VirtualVCR, and VirtualDub also...all drop frames (a little less with iuVCR, but still too many)
I thought it would be easier to capture AVI with Huffyuv than MPG1? Have I got this wrong? ive searched the forum and tried everything i can think of...but i cant figure out why im dropping frames. Might it have something to do with the way my hardware is set up??
I'm new to this still, so any help would be very much appreciated.
