  1. I have a movie in avi format that plays fine as a avi and needs the ac3 audio codec to play it's sound. Anyway, after I use virtual dub to save it's sound in a seperate wav file so I can convert it to mpg, I go listen to the wav it is plays scratchy and it skips constantly. I'm trying to convert it into a mpg without messing up the sound, but I can't seem to do it. In virtual dub I have it set to "Direct Stream Copy" ( it is required of this movie) and "AVI Audio". Is it because the file needs to be ac3 to play correctly and not wav that the sound is so messed up? If so, I tried the headac3he program to convert the wav to ac3, but it says I don't have enough disk space on the target drive to continue, yet I have 43gigs of space left! I did download all the necessary dll's for the headac3he program as well. I'm not sure where to go from here. Please help if you can. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
