Hi,
I just wondered if someone could tell me how to burn several short videos on one cd for playing on the dvd. I'm using Nero 5.5, and it works fine for a single video, but when I try to put several short ones one one cd, it will either just stop or it will only burn the 1st one. I'm sure I'm just not clicking the right button somewhere. Could someone please point me in the right direction for this?
Thanks.

its a little confusing .. are you making a vcd ? or a svcd ?
and is it a problem playing them or burning them ?
a really fast easy way to join mpeg's together even if different is to use winrar and rar them together with no compression and then change the extension back to mpg .... you can do this in dos also (copy ) and zip ..
if you want to be a little more pro about it is to use the merge tool in TMPGEnc or look over in the help section to the left about editing joining files..
as for not being able to burn more than one on a cd -- well need more info about that .. -
Hi,
I'm doing vcds. For example, trying to put three 1 hour long videos on 1 cd. The combined length isn't over cd capacity, so that shouldn't be a problem, I don't think. I don't want to combine them into 1 long movie, I just want to put the cd into my dvd player and watch which ever one of the 3 I choose, or all of them. Sort of the same concept as putting multiple MP3s on a cd and then playing them all or whatever you choose on the dvd player.
I don't know if the playing will be a problem or not. Can't get them burned yet!
I've used TMPGEnc and Virtualdub for editing large movies and done ok with the end result being 1 movie on 1 cd, usually burning it with NERO. But I thought that as long as the total length/size wasn't bigger than the cd, you could put multiple short movies on 1 cd so it could play on the DVD player.
Thanks for the reply.

You can drop as many .mpg files into the authoring program, to play one after another, but you need a menu to be able to play what you want.

Then I guess your making a DVD not VCD ? Do you know the size of a blank CD ? -
Sorry I didn't state things well enough. I'm not a tech or hacker.
I am trying to put 3 10-minute long cartoons on 1 CD to made a VCD I can play on my DVD player for my grandson. Total time 30 minutes. Most standard CDs are 700 MG/80 minutes, ok???
NERO won't do it. I had hoped to find instructions so that I could.

Hi,I could burn successfully ten 25 sec video clips from Epson digital camera(.mov) using Nero5572 and played well in a Panasonic RV-31 DVD player. All what you have to do is click on VCD and drag and drop the clips in the opening window and burn.In fact I could burn a photo slide show and the movie clips in one CD-R. In slide show the default time between photos is infinity. If it is not changed to a finite number like 5 secs, only the 1st photo will show. The same applies to movie clips.Change infinity to a respectable interval between clips like 5 secs or so,TV.
Is it possible to do multisession VCD burning with Nero V5.572?What do track at once and disk at once mean? -

If the original is an AVI you need to convert them to a fully compliant mpeg1 for VCD, then you can simply drop them all in one after another to play them in a sequence.
If you want to be able to select which one to play first, then you need to use a menu.
AVI to VCD Mpeg > TMPGEnc (Load a PAL/NTSC template)
Now that you have .mpg files you can pick them up and drop them one after another into Nero > VCD
Mpeg capture, the output should also be fully compliant .mpg files, if the output is wrong, Nero will attempt to convert them, and usually makes a mess in which case you would need to use TMPGEnc again to correct the errors.
Mpeg Capture to VCD Mpeg > TMPGEnc (Load a PAL/NTSC template)
