    hi, i ripped a vob file, and made a very nice looking mpg1 and mpeg2 file. Im looking to convert either the mpeg1 or mpeg 2 to divx. When i open the mpeg1 up in vitrualdub i get this error

    MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error

    i tried using vidomi with the mpeg2 file, and encoded it using the divx 5.0.2 codec, but the quality is SH!THOUSE compared to the mpg.

    any ideas?

    You can use TMPGEnc File > Output to file > SAVE AVI
    You can also select a codec to use. Works with Mpeg1/2
