I've been trying to capture using virtualdub at 720x576.My system spec is the AIW128 16mb pci with all the latest cpu and whatever.
I want to use the new drivers from ATI and directx8.1,MMC7.5 etc as has been stated in the 720x576 capturing guide by Inetzel. But, unfortunately I still cannot get 720x576 for avi.The max I get is 704x288.
Why no more than X288!
Please help ...

it's a directshow driver limitation on AVI. there are some ways around it using tweaked drivers and such, but the easiest way is just to capture at very high bitrate (like 8+ Mbit) I-frame only MPEG. this is basically the same as MJPEG AVI.
else, use win98SE or ME and the vxd VFW drivers (4.12...6292) and MMC 6.3 or 7.1
