I have many cds with svcds on them which I burned with Nero. Using nero changes the format i guess. I was thinking the format would be changed to .dat but instead it is still .mpg. That's my problem, I've tried just copying the mpg and trying to edit it and use different programs trying to load the mpg but all of them have error messages "not supported", etc. I was wondering what a good program is to do what i'm trying to do and the instructions i need to know to use the program(s). Thanks in advance.

Use CDRwin to extract bin cue then use Vcdgear to extract MPEG2 from bin & Cue.
I'm old, but still going strong!
