i have this avi file which is missing like 3mb
and it's not my fault - it's already truncated on the fserver
i guess, it's 3mb at the end, it should be less than a minute of
movie time...
can i convert it to svcd? players(wmp or windvd) woulnt open it.
and how do i do it?
would the usual procedure work just fine? vdub+tmpgenc?

Only one way to find out! See if it can load into Virtualdub first. If it will, try *scan video stream for errors* and re-save it, using *direct stream copy*. Chances are you won't be able to open it. If not, you may as well search for a utility called Divfix and try that.
