You need to create a custom ECL. If your not sure about how to do this, either create an avi from VFAPI, load that into CCE, save ecl. In the saved ECL look for your file.avi, and change it to your file.avs.

You can do the same with a project file from TMPG. This of course assumes you used DVD2AVI.

Your using CCE 2.5 right? 2.62 can't use avs files.

    disturbed1,

Could you please elaborate on this? It sounds very interesting to utilize the advantages of both TMPGEnc and CCE...

    Thanks.

  5. Beta, yes i am using 2.5. If i use your method do i then need to resize also? I have resized the .ecl before but my encoded video does not turn out. If i were to use tmpgenc i know i can resize in there but then do i load the tmpgenc file in cce or do i convert the tmpgenc file to a avi file? thnaks for responding Beta.

    What disturbed 1 means is,
    Create a dvd2avi project file
select it as video source in TMPG
set source and output aspect ratios, if you like filters too
    save the TMPG project (.tpr)
convert the TMPG project with VFAPI to *vfapi.avi
add it to the cce encoder list and encode.
So you resize and add filters in TMPG and the pure encode is done by CCE.

The other way, that disturbed1 mentioned is,
    create a dvd2avi project file
    then convert this .d2v to.vfapi.avi
create your avisynth script (to resize and add filters)
add the *vfapi.avi to the cce encoder list, set everything you want and save as whatever.ecl
Now open whatever.ecl with notepad. Change widht and height corresponding to your avisynth script. Change the file name from whatever_d2v-vfapi.avi to whatever.avs
    Close whatever.ecl (yes,save changes)
Now start CCE, select file> open whatever.ecl, encode.

    C'mon guys,
Could you tell me how you convert the *tpr to *vfapi.avi?
My VFAPI does not recognise the file format. Is it something TMPGEnc version-specific feature? Does TMPGEnc have to be open with the project in the meantime?...
    Thanks

As far as I know, v1.04 is the latest. It works with every TMPG version and after saving the project you can close TMPG. Have a look at this too.
