  1. I burn VCD's with Nero 5.5.9. My CD-r's are 24 speed but the maximum speed with which i can burn on my HP9110 is 8x. When i play my newly burned VCD's on my stand alone DVD player the beginning is always good but as we get later into the movie(disc) it seems to slow down and becomes jittery(the picture freezes for upto 1/2 a second and then goes on with the next frame. Imagine seeing a punch being thrown, picture freezes with the fist on the nose and the next thing you see is the guy lying on the floor. sound remains okay and goes on normaly!) Does this have anything to do with the burn speed in relation to the CD-r's ?? Or could there be another reason for this erratic behavior.

    Thanks in advance

Did you use TMPGEnc templates PAL or NTSC ? Your player may only play fully compliant VCD's. Also the quality of the CDR is important on some players, only you will be able to find out what is best for "your" DVD player. Same with burning speeds, only you can figure that out. I sometimes burn at 40X with no problems, but that means nothing to you.

    1, Burn at 8X
    2, Use Maxell or TDK
3, Load a VCD template in TMPGEnc

    You need to experiment
