  1. I just went to ATI's site and noticed new Multimedia Center and Capture software. I haven't tried it yet. I'm never sure about the correct procedure to upgrade. I guess I uninstall all the old software and then install the new. ATI doesn't make it easy.

I'll post my comments after I install it. Just wondering if anyone else had tried it yet.

  2. It fixes the problem for Radeon VIVO users (definitely get it if you have a Radeon VIVO).

Asides from that, it seems to be mostly bug fixes. I did not notice any changes in video quality.

  3. So that's why I couldn't get to the driver page, stuck behind many brigades of fellow ATIites, haha.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Does it fix the "Mystery Zoom In" bug, where MMC decides to zoom into the picture whenever it feels like it? this has been around at least since 7.5.

Does it fix the "strobing video" problem that shows up (in PVR mode) during pans?

How about the Digital VCR defaulting to "tuner" everytime you go to set up a new recording?

Can someone tell which one of the ATI updates to install first? Thanks
