I have a cvd samplefile (pal) for downloading.
This sample is ripped from parent trap (walt disney)
and encoded with tmpgenc.
With this quality i can get about 4 hours on one dvd (4.7gb).
I hope the quality is good enough for all quality freaks (like me) out there.
ftp://pmk.d2g.com:2121 This samplefile is about 191mb in size.

The server has now been online for 3 days, and so far only 2
completed downloads. I have now decided to shutdown the
server.

well i got a copy. thanx.
what settings / template did you use then? would be useful to know...! -
theboywonder,
I'm not using any special template or settings in tmpgenc.
I only loaded the svcd template and unlocked it.
Then i applied these changes,
video: rate control=cbr , bitrate=2300kbit, encode mode=non-interlaced.
motion search: high quality (slow).
gop structure: I=1 P=4 B=2, sequence header=1/gop, max number of frames=15/gop, detect scene change=off
audio: audio bitrate=192kbit.
This is the settings used in the samplefile.
And thanks for downloading my file (it made me very happy).

thanx!
no problem about downloading... thanx for putting it up! you have a fast server
time to look into that interlacing option..... never really considered that when encoding ....
