I have an SVCD that I'd like to remove the menu from. Is it possible to simply grab the MPG file from the SVCD directory structure and reburn without a menu, or is the MPG on the SVCD in a slightly different format and not suitable to be reprocessed/burned by Nero?
Thanks!

You can do what you have suggested.
If needed you can rename it like: xxxxxx.mpgThe Dutchman -
You can simply copy the mpg to your hard drive but most authoring programs will probably not accept it. File headers are added to the mpg during authoring of the SVCD so you may need to remove them before reburning. You can simply demultiplex in TMPGenc (mpeg tools) and then remultiplex, preferably in bbmpeg.
If you simply want to skip the menu during playback you can turn off PBC before starting the disk.
