I'm posting this message on behalf of a friend apologies if I've got the terms wrong as I haven't got a clue!
I am trying to copy DVD-R region 1, 5.1 of Black Hawk Down to VHS
using a Macrovision buster cable. I have used different DVD Players
and Video recorders but cannot get a picture.
When using Mustek 562 DVD Player with Macrovision disabled (using the hack on this site) when recording to video I'm getting blue lines
across the screen. The player isn't faulty. Any ideas?
Thanks.

First off, how does a cable "bust" Macrovision? Secondly, how do you know the player isn't faulty? Does your VCR have both component videa in and out? Test the connection by running the DVD into the VCR without the "buster" installed (use a regular RCA type cable). Macrovision doesn't prevent recording, it just makes the result unpleasant to watch. A blue screen usually indicates no video in for a VCR.

The Macrobuster is a type of scart cable. He tried without the cable same problem. With or without the cable there is a lot of inteference, the picture in unwatchable. All connections are correct and there are no problems with the hardware.
