    That is not a VCD.

You must convert to vcd and burn as vcd.

    Message received from Apex yesterday:

    Your Issue Was:

The AD-1100WB is currently on sale in the UK. Does it have the capability to play VCD and SVCD?

    Apex Digital's Response Is:

no player manufactured after 4/15/02 will not play vcd\'s

Thank you for using our website!

If VCD won't work try SVCD....or have they removed it too?

I don't know - I decided not to buy one! However, since making a DVD player play VCDs is trivial, it must be part of a wider policy to prevent playback of VCD for some reason - perhaps pressure from the movie industry? And if they removed VCD capability I suspect they would also have removed SVCD capability.
