  1. When I burn VCD's in Nero, I can play them back with PowerDVD, but when I burn SVCD's, it won't play it. The MPEG files can be accessed directly on the disc and Media Player will play them, but not PowerDVD.

The directory structure is the standard SVCD format.

    Hmm, I'm running ver 2.55...

  2. this happens to me aswell.. and i'm using 4.0 (xp).. i'm not sure why it happens, but when it does i just have it play the mpeg file from the disc through powerdvd and it works just fine..

  3. I don't think PowerDVD XP actually supports SVCD format playback (though it can play MPEG-2 files fine). Try WinDVD.

  4. Well, I just tried to play a VCD I burned in Nero and I get the same message, so I don't know what to do. I mean, the point of using PowerDVD is try to play it as a dvd so I don't have to get up and go to the room the standalone is in.
