    capture dv directly to MPEG 1

    or


    alter the resoltuion of the captured DV to 352x240 so I can fit more dv on my disk, and making it easier to encode tv episodes

    Check it out. Looks like it captures straight to VCD or DVD for you.

  9. For sure try it first. I never buy before I try either. And to be honest I don't buy if it's too expensive for what it does (like a lot of Adobe products). At $50, if Neodvdplus does what it says, they're not being greedy at all.
