From DVD ROM to DVD RECORD

I have in my PC a DVD Rom and a DVD Record. I would like to know if I can make a simple copy from my DVD Rom to DVD Record.

A friend of mine bought in shopping a special DVD (clips of music) that I would like to make a copy for me.

Although there is a DVD-Audio format, I have yet to see a DVD with only DVD audio. Perhaps this is "el numero uno". All I can say, is try to copy some of the music clips to your HD, then see if they will play. If they do, then a disk to disk copy will probably be possible.

What type of technology is your friend planning to play this disk on? Also, how large is this disk?

Run the original DVD through Smartripper or other Ripper, to see if it is copy protected. If it is not copy protected you should not have a problem unless the files are larger then 4.7 GB total, if so I would suggest you Rip and then burn out to DVD.

I'm not sure that SmartRipper (or any ripper) would work if this is really a DVD-Audio disk (the rippers go to the VIDEO_TS directory, not the AUDIO_TS dir). We need more information about this disk. What is the file structure like? What files are in what directory?

just use dvd2avi to get the music from it dont know much else about ripping the audio apart from that its the fastes and best way to do it
