  1. I want to use Virtual Dub to edit an AVI I captured by using its internal filters and then saving the edited AVI as uncompressed to be encoded later to RM. The edited AVI plays fine in Windows Media Player for the first few minutes but if I seek ahead to about 5 min, I get an "invalid file format" error, yet I can still see some of the frames. When I try to encode this "corrupted" AVI into RM with Real Producer, RP only encodes the first few bit of the clip and stops. In VDub, Audio is set to direct stream copy mode and audio interleave is on. Has anyone come across this problem ? I used both 1.4d and 1.4.5 and both have the same problem.

  2. Hello!
    I have the same problem.
I know how you can "overtake" the problem, but it is a boring work.
Instead of you delete that frames you don't want, I suggest you save that frames you want in 'n' files and join them into a new file.
Therefore, I also want a GOOD solution for this problem.
So, if you discover any, please tell me.
    Thanks.

  4. Use Virtual Dub and the logo away filter. Do a search for it in the forums. Actually I'll save you the time, here's the thread:

  7. Hello!
    I've just discovered the problem.
If you edit an AVI file in VirtualDub and the resultant file is greater than 2GB and you are using Win9x, the problem occours. I think the solution is upgrade OS to Win2000 or other without filesize limitation.
    I hope it helps you.
