Hello All:
Not sure if this is a capture or conversion issue - can someone comment on the best way to capture a 16:9 TV movie? I captured one the way I usually do, but when I processed down to SVCD it ended up being distorted (uses only the top half of screen, looks like a little was trimmed off the top, kind of stretched out). I captured via Huffy AVI 480x480, 29.97 fps (NTSC). Edited, resized to 352x240 (bicubic) and inverse telecined (AVISynth). Used TMPGEnc to process to MPEG2.
I don't have my TMPGenc settings in front of me, but I made no changes from my standard SVCD setup. My TV is a standard 4:3 - I just want to play it back the way it originally played.
Thanks in advance,
Drak
