  1. Sorry to bother you with this but, I encoded an avi to svcd and when it finished converting the file size was over 1 gig. Is there any way that I could break up this mpg to fit it on 2 cd's?

  2. You can use TMPeg to split the SVCD using the tools. I perfer to demux with TMPeg and then cut and mux with bbmpeg. You don't get loss of sound sync that way. Proceedures are in the EDIT at left.

NOT so sure about SVCD but I use JIAO VCDCUTTER to chop up all my MPEGS.
    You can download it from
    http://www.seller-club.com/~vcdcut/vcd403.zip
however I have had loads of problems with version 4.03 - even a legit copy won't chop properly - only get the first seven seconds just like the demo. Try it and see though.
    however version 4.01, http://www.zdnet.co.uk/software/fstore/9/0/001090.html
does it no probs - although obviously it doesn;t have as many tools as the newer version, but it and "cracked" versions are widelty avbl.
    Hope this helps
