    Does anyone know if this can play (S)VCD's?
    If not can somebody suggest a player that the Future Shop in Canada sells for me please. The thing is the sales people know **** all. And many of the DVD players don't advertise that they supports (S)VCD anymore. Or sometimes they only have one of the 2 written down. Well I need both, so any help would be great.

    How about the JVC-S502 SL.
    I have read that is does (S)VCD but will it do Pal and ntsc of both formats.
    I am in Canada using a NTSC TV.
