    this is the error i get trying to decompress the audio from a video

    the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format.

    how do i fix this so i can decompress the audio to encode to vcd the video is a smr

    what program are you using to try to encode it?
    can't really help much till i know what you are trying to do it with
    thru personal experience i have learnt that it's not really worth trying to encode smr releases as the quality is poor to start off with so is only going to degrade more
