I am new to all this, so i thought i would put this under the n00b forum.
What is a good card to get so i can capture video? my dad has a card on his computer, that plugs into the TV where he can watch TV on his computer (and record it) also has the audio and video plugs, like to plug in a camcorder.
I was thinking of getting a card (they are call capture cards right? i think maybe my dads is called a TV tuner, or something).
I need somthing that is cheap...
Thanks.

"Cheap" means different thing to different people. Please give us your definition of "cheap" (so we know and don't have to guess).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
For a cheap capture card get a Hauppauge WinTV PCI card. They start at $49 and has a TV tuner for watching TV, and you can also record video on your PC.
