  1. Hello,

    I Have a AVI movie with audio AC3 in one DIVX file.

    I wan't to put subtitle in a DIVX AVI file i know how i much do that!! But the problem is the Audio format that is AC3 format. wen i wanna start VirtualDub en want to save the movie with subtitle to encode i much chance the audio compression I can't choice none of the mpeg layer-3 or others wen i puch on Show all formats i can choice i take a format and want to save the Divx file i have the follow error:

    >The requestes audio compression is not compatible with the input format.
    Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format.<

    and when i choice the audio with direct stream copy the sound in the movie second sound no sound sound no sound very irri.


    Have some one any idea what i can do?
    that i can put subtitle into this divx file whit good sound.

    There is a version of VirtualDub with ac3 support which should work OK for you. Get it here: http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html However, if you have your subtitle files in Vobsub format (or can convert them to that) you can switch subtitles on or off at will on playback without altering your DivX in any way.
