After I converted my divx to mpeg I split it in half and burned a vcd. Towards the end of the second disc the sound was off by about 30 seconds. Does anyone know what causes this

Plays fine means nothing, they all play fine even with junk frames. It only takes a glitch in the movie to cause lip sync during conversion or cut.

You may want to save out the audio using Vdub, then use that later with TMPGEnc

    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > conversion > 44.1Khz
    SAVE WAV

if this fails, you may have to save and convert later

    Audio > direct stream copy
    SAVE WAV
