I've downloaded the program from Tucows, but Im having problem with it, Ive tried it with my other PC running WindowsMe and dont have any problems. It generated the following errors on my Windows2000 machine:

Please take a closer look at the last part. I think the program I downloaded is not Windows 2000 compatible, Ive tried downloading the program again and again and again and still has this problem on my Win2k machine.
Pls help. Thanks.

I use VCDEasy in Windows 2000 with no problems. The only part of that log that's an actual error is the "Permission denied" line, the rest is just related to your movie file and chapter setup. That looks like the user you're running as might not have permission to access some file(s). Did you try running it as Administrator? You shouldn't need to, but Administrator generally has read permission to everything that isn't already opened by another process.

I am having similar problems, Vcdeasy was running perfectly for months until it recently happened. It started on one of my machines and now is happening on the 2 of them. This pattern of 'spreading' makes me think that it can be:
* A virus (my antivirus software doesn't detect anything however for newest viruses it can happen)
* A Windows update breaking the functions in VCDImager (e.g., I recently installed the .NET framework).
Sometimes it is fread() that fails and sometimes it is fwrite(), when trying with different input tracks
It appears to happen at a fixed size in the file (e.g., after rearranging the input tracks it happens at a similar point in the progres bar, not at a certain input track). Initially I thought it could be a problem with writing large files but I have tried generating large files with other software (e.g., an iso image with Roxio Easy CD Creator) and it worked OK. -
I think I got it solved. I installed Service pack 3 (just released) and the same CD layout that was giving me problems previously, suddenly started working with no errors (on both machines)
Microsoft broketh, Microsoft fixeth?...
Hope it works for other people with the same problem.
