  1. What are the differences between the Pinnacle Studio PCTV and the Pinnacle Studio PCTV Pro version. I can't find the differences on their website.

  2. The main differences are that the PCTV pro card,(I have one), captures TV in stereo sound,& has an FM radio tuner.
Do not believe everything that the Pinnacle site lists though. The capture in mpeg1/2 & burn to VCD,DVD etc, software has to be purchased separately.
Also, if you have windows 98,then download the older 4.02a PCTV drivers. They're VFW drivers,(ie: easy to use in programs like VirtaulDub, AVI_IO etc.),& according to the Pinnacle discussion boards, they're far less buggy than the current WDM drivers.
And one thing you'll learn is that you won't use the PCTV vision program either.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy enough with it for doing Video to VCD stuff, but look at the Software links listed here for codecs like Huffy, programs like VirtualDub & TMPGenc,& you'll be a lot happier with it.

  3. I thought the only difference was that the "pro" has a remote and the regular does not?
