Yes but not with CCE. I have CDR-PC5 and use TMPGenc a+ and it does MPEG2 pretty well.

Yes, I have but I have finally given up using CCE since it is virtually impossible (at least for me) to get a decent result. TMPGenc yields a muck better result for DV footage at least with the SVCD bitrates.

What about encoding time ??
TMPEGenc is alot slower than CCE ....
Anyone get good results with CCE ?????

I agree on the speed thing and I guess that this is the reason for most people trying the CCE encoder at least that was why I tried it. I think that if you do a search on this and similar forums you will find that most people have considerable difficulties in achieving good with CCE at such low bitrates. Myself I prefer quality and at least until I'll be able to convert to DVD playable on my stand alone I'll stick with TMPGenc.

Speed is not an issue for me, I run 2x933MHz and its ok. However quality is an issue. I use TMPGenc 12f 0.11.24.108
and I am NOT pleased. My problem is that I can see MPEG artification some times (not all the time) - still not a good sign.
Any recommendations out there for better quality encoder? Or may be I am doing it wrong so I would appreciate if someone posts their best quality TMPG settings! THANKS -
bbiandov - I use TMPG 12a and get better MPG2 results than the later versions.
I tried CCE but couldn't get results as good as TMPG 12a. Sure, it's faster, but what's the point if the results aren't good? I did try a lot of configs and templates some other people sent me but still couldn't get a better quality output.
