I would like to know the best way to make copies of vcd's i already own , I have tried the normal routes of cloneCD and DiscJuggler but they always produce discs that wont play in my DvD player although the original will, what I have been doing lately is to export the DAT file on the original disc to my hard drive and then using Nero to make a VCD from that file, and this works fine, however I would like to know if this is the best way or would I gain anything in quality by converting the DAT file to MPEG and then burning the disc in Nero.

nick_cunit, your pretty much doing it the right way with Nero. You might gain better quality if you convert the .dat file to a .mpg file again.

Thanks for the help does anyone know if I will gain anything in quality by converting back to mpeg or I should just carry on using the DAT file.

You should carry on with the DAT if there isn't anything wrong with it.
