Just bought Pioneer DVR-A04 and if a burn a MPG movie to a DVD-R using "Sonic My DVD" it'll play fine on my Pioneer Elite DVL-90 stand-alone player, but if I rip a DVD and create a DVD-R (using same media as prior) it won't play on the DVL-90. I can see all the files are the same name & size as the original DVD, and the new DVD-R will play fine on my computer. Help please!

What 'guides'? Another question: for a DVD to play, does certain information have to exist on specific sectors of the disk, or do the players just read files?

it just reads the files...
the guides are in the dvd ripping section of the site
