  1. I, like others, am evaluating the points in common with MMC and PVCR2. I thought I read somewhere in docs that you can supress messages during captures. My problem is, when I record something, it won't automatically save the file, but rather ask what you want it called and where to put it.

I am using the computer in tandum with my Tivo, so the PC records the things I would archive anyway, and the Tivo records the stuff I watch - then delete. How do I make it simply save the file without prompting for a filename?

    Thanks!

i dont think you can get it to autosave... the only time it autosaves for me is when i scheduel it to record a tv show. it records it and then saves it. thats the same story with both mmc 7.6 and powervcrII.
