  1. I'm using WinOnCD 3.8PE to create photo albums with music. This works out just fine and I can play it on my Kiss 1302 DVD player with no problems, but when I try to play it on my Pioneer DV-535, the audio get's distorted/choppy. So I am wondering what VCD standard WinOnCD 3.8 are encoding the .dat files with so I can find a DVD player that will support this fully out(The Kiss player is not an option because the DVD playback is awful )? I know the audio is encoded to Mpeg 1.0 Layer2. But the .dat audio file is still different form a regular Mpeg 1.0 Layer2 file. This is what i found by opening the .dat file in winamp and choosing file info:
    <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=85%><TR><TD><font size=-1>Quote:</font><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR><TR><TD><FONT SIZE=-1><BLOCKQUOTE>Header found at: 2446 bytes
    Length: 1587 seconds
    MPEG 1.0 layer 2
    224kbit, 121788 frames
    44100Hz Stereo</BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR></TABLE>
The following one I encoded with TEMPGenc, had this info:
    <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=85%><TR><TD><font size=-1>Quote:</font><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR><TR><TD><FONT SIZE=-1><BLOCKQUOTE>Header found at: 0 bytes
    Length: 250 seconds
    MPEG 1.0 layer 2
    192kbit, 19240 frames
    44100Hz Stereo</BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR></TABLE>
So is it possible that it's the bitrate capabilities(or lack of) of my Pioneer that is causing my problem? Or am I way of here

  2. I have a pioneer 343 and have always had audio problems burning with WinOnCD3.8PE, which is a shame, because the video looks great and I like the menu features.
If anyone knows a way around this, please let us know.
    Thanks,
    -PUV

Vitualis had made a "guide" using Photoshop and Premiere to make photo albums with music. I haven't tried it myself but it does look to have universal compatibility.
