  1. I've burnt dvds b4 ok but recently i keep getting
"file reallocation failed" in nero , when i try to burn a DVD-r/rw.

Any one know what it means.

If i click on the ifo file in power dvd it plays the movie fine.

    I'm running w2k, nero 5.5.9.0. and pioneer 104.

    Thanxs

Let me guess. You have ripped a DVD, stripped out title sets that you don't want, and are trying to burn what's left to a DVD-R. Is this correct?

  3. yer, i used ifoedit and once it had completed stripping unwanted bits I ran get vts sectors.

POwer DVD, plays it fine from my hard disk.

I take it from your comment that the problems in my conversion/striping in ifoedit rather then the burning process ie Nero.

Nero should tell you exactly which file(s) are the problem.

In my case an IFO and it's BUP didn't match.
I simply delieted the BUP and made a copy of the IFO and changed it's extension to BUP and Nero was happy.

If you stripped out video title sets, you have to change the number of VTS's in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. Count your remaining VTS's and change the former number to the new number. It's in THREE places in this file (but I'm not near an IFOEdit program right now, so you will have to do a little searching). They are not hard to find... two are very near or at the top, and the third is about ten to twenty lines down from the top. Just remember that they are in DIFFERENT sections of this .IFO (one day I have to sit down and write a guide about this!).
