I have read a review in the players section of this site that says that DVD VOB's can be played straight off a data CDR (No VCD formatting required)

Can anyone confirm / deny this. I thought VOB's are @ 1GB and wouldn't fit on a CDR.

Anyone with Dansai and DVD to CDR backup experience, what's the best method of copying DVD's to CDR?
