  1. I have been trying out iuVCR as a way to capture AVI files full-screen under XP with my Hauppauge WinTV card (Virtualdub doesn't work with WDM drivers). In preview mode I can tune into the channels and hear both channels on the speaker. But once I click record, the right channel cuts out and only the left channel is recorded. I have checked all the mixer settings etc. - nothing strange. PowerVCRII records in stereo fine, presumably using the same (Hauppauge)WDM drivers

    Anybody with any ideas?

Annoying to come up with a full-screen capture solution video wise to find out it won't record the sound properly

    Thanks

  2. strange! IuVCR has to be one of the best WDM cap apps around. It should work fine. Have you thought of removing powervcr and reinstalling your
drivers? Sometimes, an IuVCR beta can work wonders in situations where,
for whatever reason, capturing is not perfect with a final release copy. If you can find a beta copy of IuVCR, try that.

    luck!

Looked around and cannot find a version earlier than the one on the web site. Tried all combos of sound - no joy. And all e-mails to the various support e-mails on the web site go unanswered - that doesn't encourage one to register

Tried out Digital VCR (www.digtv.ws) - same problem which led me to believe it could be the WDM drivers. Removed them all and installed the ones from http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/. Now the applications record both channels but in mono! And PowerVCR only receives in mono. Maybe there are special drivers in the Hauppauge WDM drivers that handle the NICAM decoder handling in the tuner that the generic drivers do not handle? Annoying
