    I got a movie that, when played, looks fine/sounds fine, but seems to have like a frame missing every few seconds....it has this weird pause effect that only lasts a fraction of a second, every few seconds...it's not bad, but starts getting distracting...

    Is there some way to see why this would be? Can I maybe run it through something to clean it up...any help appreciated!

    Install that and enjoy. It is always running the in background but it takes up no CPU power.
