I have a 1.1 AMD Athalon with 80 gig HD and Windows ME. My VCD'S look great--but I can only capture avi files. With that in mind, I get an error with "that" respective 4 gig limit. I have tried to use Virt Dub, but I cannot get it to "see" the video streaming in from the Dazzle DV bridge I use via firewire. Ulead works great--(with exception to the 20 min. limit), as well as the included software with the capture device from Dazzle. I have heard the Ulead 5.0 is able to "spill?", I think? into multiple avi files that can be later encoded by the great Tmpeg 12+. I downloaded the Trial Version of Ulead 5.0 but it also sets the same limit.
2nd question, is that when I am caturing the avi file, I do not have any "dropped frames" but the size of the frame is too long in length. The bottom of the frame is slightly mirror-ed from the top--(i.e. I can see a 1/2 an inch of "sky"--for example--from the source frame in the bottom of the frame). I hope this makes some kind of weird sense, and someone can help me.
I visit this site daily, and learn a lot from you all. Thank you.
